Rice Cooker Hainanese Chicken
A simplified version of the classic Hainanese chicken made entirely in your rice cooker with homemade sauces.

Ingredients
- 450 g chicken thigh
- 5 teaspoon of sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon of Salt
- 370 cup of jasmine rice
- 30 clove of garlic
- 10 piece of ginger
- 60 units scallion
- 480 cup of chicken broth
- 5 teaspoon of concentrated chicken broth
- 3 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 10 piece of ginger
- 10 unit scallion
- 3 teaspoon of sesame oil
- 0.5 to taste Salt
- 30 tablespoon of sunflower oil
- 30 clove of garlic
- 10 piece of ginger
- 25 tablespoon of sambal
- 25 tablespoon of sriracha
- 20 tablespoon of chicken broth
- 5 tablespoon of lime juice
- 9 teaspoon of sugar
Method
- Mince or grate the garlic and ginger.
- Chop the scallions.
- In a bowl, mix the chicken with the sesame oil and salt.
- In a small bowl, combine the ginger, scallions, sesame oil, salt, and sunflower oil for the ginger and scallion sauce.
- In another bowl, mix the garlic, ginger, sambal, sriracha, chicken broth, lime juice, and sugar for the chili sauce.
- Add the jasmine rice, garlic, ginger, scallions, chicken broth, concentrated chicken broth, and turmeric to the rice cooker pot.
- Place the marinated chicken over the rice mixture.
- Cook in the rice cooker until the rice is tender and the chicken is fully cooked.
- Serve the rice on a plate and place the chicken on top.
- Serve with the prepared sauces.
