Traditional Meatballs in Sauce
Classic homemade meatballs recipe with a juicy and flavorful vegetable sauce.

Ingredients
- 600 g mixed minced meat
- 120 slice of slice bread
- 100 ml milk
- 120 units egg
- 15 clove of garlic
- 20 g parsley
- 5 to taste salt
- 2 to taste pepper
- 50 g wheat flour
- 150 units onion
- 100 units leek
- 80 units carrot
- 200 g chopped tomatoes
- 120 glass of red wine
- 650 ml chicken broth
- 45 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
- 5 to taste salt
- 2 to taste pepper
Method
- Mince the garlic and parsley.
- Soak the slice bread in milk and drain well.
- In a bowl, mix the minced meat with the garlic, parsley, eggs, and soaked bread.
- Season the mixture with salt and pepper and knead until a homogeneous and consistent dough is obtained.
- Form portions of dough with oiled hands to create the meatballs.
- Roll the meatballs in flour and shake off the excess.
- Chop the onion, leek, and carrot.
- Heat a pan with extra virgin olive oil.
- Brown the meatballs in the hot oil and set aside.
- Sauté the chopped vegetables in the same oil for 10 minutes over medium heat.
- Add the tomatoes and sauté for 10 minutes over low heat, adding a little water if necessary.
- Pour in the red wine and reduce over high heat.
- Add the chicken broth and boil for 5 minutes.
- Blend the sauce with an immersion blender until smooth.
- Pour the sauce into the pot, adjust salt, and add the meatballs.
- Cook over low heat for 15 minutes until the sauce thickens to your liking.
- Serve the meatballs hot, accompanied by french fries.
