Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
- 230 g unsalted butter
- 160 g white sugar
- 160 g brown sugar
- 450 g chopped chocolate
- 475 g wheat flour
- 5 teaspoon of Salt
- 15 teaspoon of baking powder
- 4 teaspoon of baking soda
- 120 units egg
- 20 units egg yolk
- 5 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Method
- Beat the cold butter in a large bowl until it has a slightly creamy texture.
- Add the white sugar and brown sugar, beating until the mixture is well combined and fluffy.
- Incorporate the eggs, egg yolk, and vanilla extract, beating until fully integrated.
- Add the chopped chocolate and mix briefly.
- Add the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, mixing gently until the dry ingredients are just combined without overmixing.
- Divide the dough into equal portions, forming balls.
- Place the dough balls on a tray and freeze them for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 165-170°C.
- Bake the cookies for 10-15 minutes until the edges are golden and the center remains soft.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
- Serve the warm cookies with a scoop of ice cream.
